Trailer for everyone's viewing pleasure. The dinosaurs as bioweapons plot seems to be getting more fleshed out in this one. It's definitely a new angle to pursue but it reminds me a bit too much of the leaks regarding the scrapped Jurassic Park 4 script that came out years ago.
I'm a little skeptical about it... but it has dinosaurs so there is no way I'll miss it. It could go badly though.
I saw a trailer for it when I went to see Star Wars Episode VIII last year - it looks quite good methinks.
I'm gonna see it, but probably not going to like it. I am going to be brutally honest I did not like the first Jurassic World, I wanted the little kids to get devoured. I want to give this second one a chance but they've basically revealed the entire plot to us in the trailer and showed us the entire Indoraptor...can't even leave a little bit up to the imagination in sci-fi/horror anymore
Jurassic World itself was not a bad concept to begin with. What it needed was to rely less on nostalgia, better cinematography, and dare I say, better effects preferably a return to more practical to make the dinosaurs seem more real (and better anatomy, those Apatosaurus's up close were laughably horrendous, I can forgive no feathers since its the JP 'style' it really doesn't help I've done so much research on this anatomy wise). I can forgive poor writing if they can make all the other aspects entertaining. And you know what, who knows! This second movie might be fun in its own regard since they are doing something a little untraditional, very monster mash horror movie. So I hope to, at the very least, be entertained.
That's my current line of thinking as well. That would have been grand. They were annoying. I must admit that it is one of my guilty pleasures. I would never try to debate that it is a good movie in any way, but each time I watch it, I enjoy it.
Every other kid in Jurassic Park showed some survival set or at least we some what cared about them. We got time to know them see their interactions. Even when they didn’t have a survival sorta set (TLW) they still didn’t make themselves seem like baggage. Honestly none of the humans were endearing
Regarding the kids, I've read that there were a lot more character development scenes for them that were left on the cutting room floor. There was a subplot regarding the younger boy being autistic that was dropped and a bit where the older brother deals with his parents' looming divorce.
Ah of course that always gets cut! See if they found a way to work that in still I might have been much more kind in my thoughts towards em!
I like Chris Pratt and all but it was one of those things were when I would express dislike for the movie I'd be told "Well, Chris Pratt was in it!" Okay yeah fine, Chris Pratt does not a good movie make.
Agreed. I thought the premise was a little stupid. Like why would Chris Pratt's character go into the indomitus corrale without knowing specifically where it is. He knew it had a Tracker and the female lead knew she could call control to track the Beast. Furthermore why did the main female lead drive off instead of staying there and overseeing the operation
I mean in Claire's defense I'd probably wanna get the hell outta there (though I think she was heading to main control?!) myself but still. Chris's character whatever he was named honestly as an ANIMAL HANDLER really should have known better then diving right on in too. Both should have
