Two lists, supplied below, only need two battleline, was wondering if worth using or changing around? Any help will be greatly used. (To note they have Boltspitters not Javs)
I think both can work. The one without the Slann has a Basti, which I like, but is pretty vulnerable to sniping the Skink heroes though. I slightly prefer the one with the Slann I think.
I was actually trying to make a 1200p list today and mine ended up looking very simmilar to yours without having seen it. Allegiance: Seraphon Skink Starpriest (80) Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Trait: Vast Intellect - Artefact: Incandescent Rectrices Engine of the Gods (220) - Artefact: Prism of Amyntok 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 10 x Skinks (60) - Boltspitters & Star Bucklers 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) Shadowstrike Starhost (170) Total: 1190 / 2000 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 69
I mean ye its hella low but for 1200p I think its doable. Its kinda like the budget version of the list that Adam was running at adeptecon
Looking at both lists objectively. 1. Shadowstrike rippers and Basildon for damage, 2 units of skinks for objectives. 2. Shadowstrike rippers damage, 3 units of skinks for objectives.
List 1, has more stopping power than list two. I always split the Rippers up at these points as they are a kamikaze unit. Better to have two, which also gives you two toads (and more for the opponent to worry about).
I would probably go list one and consider splitting the 20 man skink unit into 2 groups. These will be your fast, go grab objectives units. Better, IMO, to have 2 than one 20 man. The big 40 man can stay together to act as a meat shield and combat buffer. I like the idea of keeping the Rippers as 6. At low points, if you opponent doesn't respect them, they can come in and do 40+ wounds. You can blow up your opponent’s weaker heroes and light infantry. That being said, you can always try a unit of 3 and try to diverisfy your army a little more. The below is pretty balanced. The Stegadon is great with Shadowstrike. It allows you to teleport, use ability on itself and get into charge range. Adding more alpha. Or you can use it on the Bastiladon for reroll 1's or the skinks to add even more movement. I do really think the below is very balanced and will allow you to fight most lists! It would be nice to have more hereos/buffs but you are still getting some buffs from the Shadowstrike and Stegadon. Leaders: Skink Starpriest (80) Units: 40 x Skinks (200) 10 x Skinks (60) 10 x Skinks (60) 3 x Ripperdactyl Riders (140) Behemoths: Bastiladon (280) Stegadon (bow) (240) Battalions: Shadowstrike Starhost (170) Total: 1230 / 2000
Looks good, may try that list above.. Im wondering though if theres anything with Cham skinks as havent seem many lists that use them
I have used them once and they were decent. Not great but OK. I think their biggest strength is that the enemy knows they can appear anywhere at any point (not even using the 9" rule) and that makes them move differently, keeping their heroes from being sniped.
With 16 inch range they can snipe most enemy Heroes. They Accountregistreren for a butcher and Ogre Tyrant last match. With the Telesport we gain from the Seraphon allegiance they are even more deadly. Now they dont have to hide and appear a turn later. Not as awesome as Rippers with a toad, but together Verry usefull in disrupting enemy Synergies.
There ok but don't count on the damage output, more for harassing the enemy, get them in cover and they can be quite resilient.
