Hey Everyone For those that may not know, Blood Bowl 2 (video game) is set to release within the next couple of months! http://www.bloodbowl-game.com/en/bloodbowl2 Unfortunately Lizardmen are not one of the teams featured within the initial release . I'm sure they will become available as part of a series of DLC releases. Thoughts
Never realised it was a video game series, the trailer makes it look rather fun however. I liked the models for the tabel-top version - I use the LM Kroxigor from Bloodbowl in my current army.
Lizardmen make it into Blood Bowl 2... http://ca.ign.com/articles/2015/06/11/blood-bowl-2-release-date-revealed
I'm not starting a new Games Workshop game. Particularly not one based on Fantasy. If they are trying to make spinoff fantasy products, why kill the franchise flagship?
Has WHFRP been cycled thru the end times? I guess it could just remain frozen in a certain era. I don't know tons about either WHFRP or BB, are they in near identical, but alternate versions of the original Fantasy Setting?
I do feel guilty supporting GW to be honest after what they did to my beloved Warhammer. At the same time, I'm very interested in picking this game up for my PS4! At the very least, it is a stand alone product so there isn't much that GW can do to screw it up. On the plus side, I haven't seen Blood Bowl Sigmarines yet!
I've just pre-ordered (PS4) Blood Bowl 2 at Best Buy. Not sure if it comes with the Lizards though . I've inquired at EB games and Best Buy, but no one seems to know about the bonus pre-order teams.
I am now. I didn't think LM were in it. Now what is this Lizardmen "OR" Wood elves? Who does the picking? I'm interested. Was that via steam? How did you make the selection?
Lizardmen and Wood Elves are bonus teams for pre-ordering. I believe that PC users can choose which team they want, while PS4 users get Lizardmen and Xbox One users get Wood Elves. Unfortunately I don't know the mechanics behind it (how to claim it) and either do any of the retailers who I have spoken with.
The amount of support GW is giving WHFB is so strange to me. Between this, TotalWar Warhammer, and AoS i'm so confused. AoS feels like giving up, and making video games seems like an "all in" move.
The video games are simply Games Workshop leasing out their intellectual property. GW probably has very little to do with it beyond that. As for AoS...
