So, got my first box of lizards today AND already I am almost half done with my first model! Building the Carnosaur with Scar-Veteran ontop. So far I did the base and the skin/scales, but still need to do the ropes and the metal plates before mounting the saddle!





Will be hopefully be able to update daily until all the ones I have are painted!

 

Did some more work on the dino. All that is left to do will be to finish the spear, do the vine leash, and then some detailing like eyes and teeth etc~





P.S. OMG! Why is there no proper lamp, to do photos with during the night, in this house?! I keep buying nice looking stuff, but forget about useful things!

 

Didn't have time to do the whine leash and the spear tip, but after that small details like drybrush on the shield. Then probably the Saurus Warriors, as I dunno how to paint the mounts of the cavalry yet

 

Very nice Carno! I love the mouth, blood effects just belong on this model. It's funny I just saw your post on the Tabletop Minions showcase on Facebook.

 

That's not blood, that is Berry juice. Berry is teh name of our rival tribe btw lol

 

I think Lizzies are made up out of tribes, right? haven't really read anything about them..

 

Hahaha! Does the Snozeberry Juice taste like Snozeberry juice?

They kinda are in Tribe. In 8th ED it was more of Temple-City-States lead by a Slann and now in AoS it's Star lizards summoned from the Stars/Heaven/Past??? to serve their Slann.

 

Ah, well they are the guards of Great Mojo Bath Temple, does that count? Name is still a wip btw lol

Idea came from talking bs with friends over Discord while watching YT videos and while that I saw a guide to a lizardmen style spawning pool terrain piece and that gave me the idea of a kind of public pool for all factions run by a Slann, aka Great Mojo

 

That is an awesome theme and idea. I can't wait to see how everything turns out.

 

And I think I decided what I'll do next with the army. get another starto collecting box. That would give me 24 saurus warriors, 15 knights, the 1 extra one can be made into a scar veteral on old one. and thanks to having that one extra dino from my GW's last year halloween party I would also have all of the three dinos that are based on the carnosaur kit

 

I kinda find it silly that even if they are on such a big dino, they still get an attack for biting the enemy

 

That would be a solid way to start out. And it looks like you have done your research.

The thing is that the Carno is designed to deal with big things. So in that way it kinda works.

 

I didn't do THAT much researched. I looked at the AoS app, looking at units I like the design of. Need to look at the book next saturday though tbh, just to have a look at the battalions. maybe there is one I like enough to form the army around. But basic idea is a Slann and his boys lol

The Bloodclaw Starhost seems nice lol

 

I mean it is not a CRAZY thing like orcs being able to call the waaagh and then the big waaagh with a battalion, but each hero being able to use it's command ability can be useful tbh

 

It's really good. Only downside is that it is for larger 2k or more point games.
