meh, we have plenty of mounted stuff, I'd say we're in more need of infantry than that.

    In terms of infantry:

    • Non-horde "basic" infantry that's actually functional. Our minimum strength "basic" infantry isn't a threat to anything, even when completly ignored. E.g a unit of 10 skinks forces one whole save per turn.... like that'l get you anywhere...
    • Actual "heavy" infantry. None of our infantry has more than 1 wound unless it's a hero.
    • Actual "elite" skinks, chameleons aren't an "elite" version of skinks since they fullfill a vastly different role, at least in the game. In fluff they're fine.
    • offensive "elite" infantry, guards are there to well guard, we have no "elite" infantry that's supposed to assault. Imagine something like the stormcast paladins
    • A clearer identity for our infantry. We have a whole host of special rules for most of em, but they don't particularly work together. Makes em feel like they just took a bunch of random abilities and stats and then called it a day.

O something like sacred spawning saurus with two weapons or a great weapon as damage dealing berserkers?

those could work for the "elite" offensive ones yea, or for none-horde "basic" units.
An alternative could be to get a unit of skink assasins or something that are capable of dealing a decent amount of damage.

I was always surprised that Lizardmen never received any heavy cavalry. You would think there was more than ample opportunity with all the creatures that resided in Lustria. Dino heavy cav would have been a sight to behold.

This to me is at the top of my 'most wanted' list for Seraphon. A lizard equivalent of bloodcrushers/goregruntas/dracoths - 3-models to a unit, each with 4-6 wounds. Preferably with a save that isn't 5+ (looking at you, cold ones).

I'd like "mini"-behemoths for that, not so much heavy cavalry. But yea, same idea in essence, and we need to field more big dinosaurs cuz big dinosaurs are cool :p

I think a chariot could fill the "Gore-Grunta"-style heavy cavalry role well.
    - two Cold Ones drawing it
    - a Saurus Warrior who steers it
    - a Saurus Warrior or two fighting with spears and carrying shields

    "Saurus Knights on Chariot" stats:
    - Three chariots in a unit, Move 7", 5 wounds each, 4+ save, Bravery 10
    - ignoring rend -1 like all Saurus
    - 3 attacks with the Spears: range 2", 4+/3+/-1/1
    - 4 vicious bite attacks by the Cold Ones: range 1", 3+/4+/-/1
    - point cost ~140 points per three models
    - has the keyword "Saurus Knight" so can be used in a Firelance Starhost and be buffed by a Scar-Vet.

As you might have noticed that's almost exactly the Gore-Grunta's stat line except:
    - slower by 2", so the same speed as Saurus Knights
    - Vicious Bite's hit is 1 better than the Gore-Grunta's hooves.
    - the rend -1 immunity
    - no charging ability, but to be honst: The one from the Gore-Gruntas sucks as well, I have never seen it used

I think that could be a nice unit.

I'd also like to have a Seraphon hero chariot:
    - two Cold Ones (or Horned ones, with a charge bonus) drawing it
    - a Saurus Warrior who steers it
    - two versions:
A: a free space on it that allows to put any non-mounted hero with a maximum base size of 40mm to be put onto it. Like an Oldblood on foot, a Sunblood or so. While the hero is on top he can fight normally but use the chariot for measurement and cannot be targeted separately. He can leave the chariot like Kharadron Overlords leave their transports. That version could be nice for cavalry armies, transporting their favourite heroes with a bit of protection and especially with enough speed to keep up.
B: a Priest of some sort, providing a 10" buff bubble (heal, ward save or something like that) for some types of units (like all Saurus units or so). This would be the support version meant to accompany Saurus Knights.

I don't see chariots as a seraphon thing.i still think an in between cav is the best idea

it could work with the "mini"- behemoths. So instead of a chariot you just pick a "mini"-stegadon or some such. That'd fit more I think.

how do chariots work nicely in a jungle? Wheels and jungle tend to not cooperate well
